About This Feature

What is OgyMogy Geo-Fencing?

Geo-fencing is the ability to define a virtual geographic boundary on a map — such as a school zone, home area, workplace perimeter, or restricted location — and receive an automatic notification whenever the monitored device crosses that boundary. OgyMogy geo-fencing combines with its GPS tracking feature to give you proactive location alerts, not just retrospective location history.

You can create multiple geofence zones for each managed device — marking allowed areas and restricted areas separately. When the device enters an allowed zone, you can receive a confirmation alert. When it enters a restricted zone or leaves a defined safe area, you receive an immediate email notification. Geo-fencing is included on all OgyMogy Android plans.

Geo-Fencing Features

Complete virtual boundary management for authorized Android devices.

Custom Zone Drawing

Draw geofence boundaries directly on the OgyMogy dashboard map. Create circular or custom-shape zones of any size — from a single building perimeter to a neighborhood or city area.

Entry & Exit Alerts

Receive an email notification the moment the managed Android device enters or exits any of your defined geofence zones. Alerts include the device's exact location and timestamp at the time of boundary crossing.

Allowed vs Restricted Areas

Create separate allowed-area zones (places the device should be, like home or school) and restricted-area zones (places to avoid). Configure different alert types for each zone type.

Multiple Zones Per Device

Set up multiple geofence zones simultaneously for each managed device — covering school zones, home areas, workplace perimeters, parks, and other relevant locations.

Dashboard Map View

Review all geofence zones and boundary crossing events through your OgyMogy dashboard map — alongside full GPS location history for the managed device.

Email Notifications

All geo-fencing alerts are delivered by email to your registered OgyMogy account address — keeping you informed of boundary crossings without needing to actively monitor your dashboard.

Alerts are delivered once the managed device syncs its location data after crossing a boundary. OgyMogy syncs location every 15 minutes, so alerts may arrive within that window after a boundary crossing.

OgyMogy uses GPS data for geofencing. The accuracy of geofence alerts depends on the managed device's GPS signal strength and connection availability.

Yes. Geofence alert history is stored in your OgyMogy dashboard, allowing you to review past boundary crossing events with timestamps and location data.

Yes. Geo-fencing is included on all OgyMogy Android plans — Basic, Standard, and Extreme.
